The MacIvor Modern  Tartan is a traditional tartan made of 100% Pure Acrylic Wool and is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishing and craft projects, all in an orange based textured tartan and features the genuine taste of Scotland's textile tradition. The MacIvors were known as Clan Ivor Glassary, and held land in Argyll, but suffered a decline with many members moving to Lochaber and other areas of the Highlands. Eventually, in the late 1600s, the fortune of their family was restored when the 10th Earl of Argyll brought back the MacIvor estates to the chief — provided the MacIvor were changed to Campbell, thus ensnaring their history in one of Scotland's most powerful families.
