Ancient Bowmen of the Scottish Highlands is the name of MacInnes Hunting Ancient Heavyweight Tartan.
This tartan design, the MacInnes Ancient Heavyweight, is a vibrant and striking design, with a bright green base and rich shades of blue and yellow, symbolizing the vibrant heritage and enduring spirit of this ancient Highland clan.
The Gaelic name Aonghais is the root of Clan MacInnes, which can be traced back to the Celtic roots in Scotland. The head of the clan was killed in 1390 and the clan was scattered, with some escaping to the protection of the powerful Clan Campbell and others gaining renown as hereditary bowmen to the MacKinnons of Skye.
They rallied to arms again and at the Jacobite Rising of 1745 some MacInnes men went to war with Stewart of Ardsheal as part of one of Scotland's most important battles.
Showcase the MacInnes Hunting Ancient Heavyweight clan tartan and respect a clan of strong Highland men and women.
