MacDonell of Keppoch Modern Tartan Kilt
The MacDonnell of Keppoch Modern Heavyweight Tartan is a bold red-based tartan featuring vivid green and white overchecks. The Keppoch branch of the great Clan Donald was founded by Alistair Carrach, and their history is marked by fierce determination and an unyielding warrior spirit. In 1431, part of Keppoch's lands were forfeited and granted to the Mackintoshes, igniting a bitter and long-running feud between the two clans. True to their warlike reputation, the clan produced remarkable figures even in adversity — most notably the 9th chief, who spent much of his life in exile yet distinguished himself through service in the Swedish army, carrying the fighting spirit of Keppoch far beyond the Scottish Highlands
