MacDonald of Kingsburgh Tartan Kilt
MacDonald of Kingsburgh Ancient Heavyweight Tartan is an orange and green based taring with a prominent yellow overcheck. The history of the clan has its share of both conflict and courage, with James MacDonald of Kingsburgh, a descendant of the 4th Baron of Sleate, being captured in 1539 at Eilean Donan Castle by the MacKenzies. The spirited and conflictual nature of the clan lives on in the character of its descendant, Donald, 3rd of Kingsburgh, who was a fierce and warlike man, who had a bitter feud with the rivals, the Clan MacLeod.
