The MacDiarmid Modern Heavyweight Tartan is a traditional green coloured tartan with bold red colours. It is always Acrylic Wool, and can be used in made-to-measure products and accessories. The MacDiarmid name is one of the septs of the powerful Clan Campbell, and is somewhat unusual in historical records, having been frequently corrupted, in particular to the form M'Kermit. This is a very fine tartan that was first published in 1906 and is a relative newcomer to Scotland's vast collection of tans.
