Inverness Modern Heavyweight Tartan is a traditional red with green and white colours.

The Inverness tartan is said to have been designed for HRH Duke of Sussex in around 1822. The Duke was also Earl of Inverness and the name of the tartan was taken after his Scottish title. This was the first printed tartan illustrated in colour in any book about tartans.
