The Henderson Clan has a fine heritage of history and can be linked to the King of the Picts. The clan has a fiveality of blood (spanning five clans) and has left an unprintable mark in Scottish history. The Henderson's, of the Glencoe region, were celebrated as good pipers, and capable bodyguards to the Glencoe MacDonald Chief. Meanwhile those of Caithness established great connections with the Clan Gunn. Their morale of honor and nobility has been summed up in the motto of the clan: Sola virtus nobilitate (Virtue alone ennobles).
