This is a very bold and distinctive Highland design with a bright orange colour with green and yellow check background, set within a white and black windowpane border.
Clan Hay sprang from the Norman de la Haye family and have been a prominent feature in Scottish history and politics in most areas of Scotland. The Scottish clan was originally started by William II de Haya and his wife Eva of Pitmilly, creating one of Scotland's longest lasting noble families.
