Black Watch Ancient Tartan Kilt
Black Watch Ancient Tartan Kilt
The Black Watch clan was formally the Royal Highland Regiment, which was formed in the early 18th century and was known as a regiment in charge of keeping peace in the Scottish Highlands. They were composed of men of the loyalist clans, formed by six independent companies of Highlanders who were mainly to police their own lands and prevent rebellion. In 1739, the companies were now combined in one regiment, with the unique dark tartan which was to be used later on to become known as the iconic one. Disciplined and brave, the Black Watch fought in many wars and became one of the most admirable military units in Scotland.
This tartan has blue, green and black colors. The trend is a beautiful mix of these colors, which forms a graceful and fashionable sight that depicts the richness it portrays.
