Alabama (Provisional) Tartan Fabric
Alabama Tartan was created in 2006 by Joseph Ryan Morrison, on the planning committee for the first annual celebration of Tartan Day in Birmingham, April 2007 for the state of Alabama. Each of the colours and stripes in this highly symbolic tartan is the proud testament to the history, heritage and identity of Alabama.
The five White Stripes, symbolizing the famed Bonnie Blue Flag with a white 5-pointed star on blue, which was later adopted by the state of Texas and was used as an unofficial flag of the Confederate States of America.
Alabama's boundless southern skies are clear and blue, like the color of Azure!Azure Blue — Alabama's clear, boundless southern skies!
Navy Blue – the majesty and depth of the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Confederate History is Alabama's pride and joy.
The bold crimson saltire on white, representing Alabama's involvement in the Union and symbolizing the official State flag, is Crimson & White!
